A hand-knotted, Indo-Persian Kashan area rug. This wool rug features an all-over floral spray pattern with lancet leaves and palmettes in a palette of green, deep blue, pale yellow, and dusty blue against a red-orange field. It has sawtooth secondary borders and the main border with repeating palmettes against a deep blue ground. The rug is finished with overcast selvedges and a short kilim skirt with tied warp fringe. It is labeled to the underside.
