A set of two wooden wounded lion ‘Helvetiorum Fidei ac Virtuti’ fine and decor. Each of the pieces depicts the rock relief carving in Lucerne, Switzerland commemorating Swiss guards massacred in the French Revolution. The pieces depict a lion on one side with one paw hanging down. The three-dimensional piece has the words ‘Helvetiorum Fidei Ac Virtuti MDCCXCII’ carved on the base, and the relief piece is marked ‘Helvetiorum MDCCXCII.’
