A plaster sculpture after Antoine-Louis Barye’s (1796-1875) Le Lion Qui Marche. This piece depicts the muscular animal with its mouth open as if to roar, his tail curled behind him in a wide loop. It is signed ‘Barye’ in plate to the top of its rectangular base, which has a green and brown finish.

- fair; minor chips to base; minor marks to surface.
