A pair of bronze tone metal bookends after the well known Medici Lions. These two pieces, appearing to have been designed as bookends, each depict the animal with one paw extended to rest on a ball, their heads turned toward the viewer. These sculptures are presented on rectangular bases and do not appear to have any maker’s marks.
