A cast iron relief for the Association Lyonnaise Propriétaires d’Appareils a Vapeur (Lyon Association of Steam Engine Owners). This bas relief piece depicts an angel gesturing with one hand, towards the factories of the city. The name of the Association is presented arched along the upper edge of the circular piece and the date of founding, 1876, along the bottom. There are no foundry or maker’s marks.

Condition

- tarnish; rust to upper left; minor marks to surface.
