A mid-century woodblock shin-hanga print titled Ueno Shinobazu Pond (上野不忍の池 ) by Japanese artist Tsuchiya Kōitsu (土屋光逸, 1870-1949). Featured is Ueno Park’s famous Shinobazu Pond moonlit and surrounded by lush trees, against a backdrop of a distant pagoda and twilight skies. The work is signed in block “Kōitsu” (光逸) alongside the artist’s “Shin” (真) seal to the lower right corner. The print’s Japanese title and date (Showa 24 = 1949) are printed in the right margin. The prints is matted in cream and presented under glass in wooden frames.

- to fair; slight warping and billowing to prints; toning and discoloration to paper and matting; dust and accretion to glass and frames; edge wear, scratches and dents to frames.
