A pair of black and white photographs on paper titled Simplicity and Design by listed artist Don Dover (American, 20th century) who was a commercial photographer for many years prior to taking over publication of Extra 2200 South. Each image depicts abstracted images from nature using a unique exposure. Simplicity is titled to the bottom right and signed to the verso while Design is both titled and signed to the verso. Each photograph is presented mounted on an off-white mat.
Condition
- some wear around the edges of each item; smudges and discoloration to the surface of each mat; puncture mark to the top of the mat on Simplicity; to the verso of each item, smudges and additional discoloration.
Dimensions
- measurements of one mat; measurements of image 13.75" W x 16.5" H; each item is approximately the same size.
