A large collection of mid-to-late 20th-century railroad-themed photography, cards, and ephemera, most dating from the 1940’s-80’s. Featured are approximately one hundred black and white photographs and cards depicting locomotive engines and train cars, many of which include handwritten or typed notes to the verso with information about the trains. The rail lines depicted include New York Central and Penn Central. The items are unsigned and presented unframed.

These images were taken by Don or Dan Dover, or given by fans to be used as source, reference, or research material by the Dover’s for their use in Extra 2200 South, a well-respected rail fan magazine the family published from 1968 into the early 1990’s.

- toning, warping, and creasing to prints and photos.
