A Wishon Harrell Modernist hand-thrown stoneware vase with a spoon rest. This Wishon Harrell piece is presented in a matte white glaze with brown speckles. The vase has a wide band with incised circular cuts over a brown matte finish. The vase has a small corseted neck and flared rim, and is signed to the underside ‘Wishon Harrell’. Wishon Harrell pottery was created by two artists in the 1990’s in both Muncie, Indiana and San Diego, California. Jim Wishon hand threw the clay on the wheel and Jerry Harrell decorated the pieces. Harrell died in the 1990’s, ending the ceramic collaboration. With the stoneware vase is a red plastic circular spoon rest from Crate and Barrel.
