1910 Gorham Sterling Silver Hairbrush and Other Vanity Accessories
Item Details
A collection of seven antique and vintage sterling silver vanity accessories. This assortment is comprised of a five-piece matching set by Gorham, including a hairbrush, clothes brush, hand mirror, button hook, and nail file. These pieces feature chased background of alternating vertical and zig zag lines, accented with scrolled foliage and flower swags, as well as an oval cartouche engraved with a ‘B’ monogram. The items are all stamped with the Gorham maker’s mark, along with ‘Sterling’, the pattern number, and a date code for 1910. The lot also includes a unmarked comb with a sterling handle featuring a scrolled foliate and flower pattern and white teeth, and a sterling handled shoehorn by Unger Brothers with a repoussé floral and foliate pattern. The shoehorn is stamped with the maker’s mark, alongside ‘Sterling’.
