Item Details
An antique handwoven Persian Lilihan wool accent rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of deep carnation, crimson, sapphire, indigo, wheat, gold, and ochre. The deep carnation hued field begins with a large rosette flanked by palmettes and leaves, and it features scrolling leaves with flowering vines in an over-sized scale. Framing the field is a main carnation meander border, along with a pair of running water guard borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a wool warp fringe to the ends. Unlabeled.
