Hand-Knotted Kazak Wool Area Rug
Item Details
A hand-knotted Kazak area rug. This wool rug begins with three diamond stepped medallions featured with geometric elements and hooked devices. The surrounding field contains stylized boteh, flower heads and serrated edge barber pole patterns. It is worked is azure, blush, ivory, tawny and navy. Framing the rug are geometric meander, leaf and flower head and geometric quatrefoil florets grounded in tawny, azure and blush. Selvedges are double overcast, the rug finishing with extremely short ivory warp fringe at either end. Unlabeled.
