Frank M. Whiting Co. and Other Sterling Silver and Glass Coasters
Item Details
A collection of five sterling silver and glass coasters. The collection includes four coasters by Frank M. Whiting & Co. of North Attleboro, MA (active 1878-1940). Each coaster features a glass base with cut starburst design to the center and a sterling silver rim with beaded border along the inner edge. They are marked to the outside rim egde, “Frank M. Whiting & Co. Sterling 04 Pat. Pending”. These are presented with a fifth larger coaster with glass base and sterling silver rim with a gadrooned edge. The coaster is marked to the interior rim ‘Sterling’.
Condition
- minor surface wear including faint markings and minimal tarnishing.
