A 1920s original floral still life oil on canvas by listed artist Charles Alfred Meurer (American, 1865 – 1955). The painting depicts a colorful arrangement of flowers in a round glass bowl. The work is rendered in an Impressionistic style with an impasto application of paint and energetic brushwork. The painting is displayed in a vintage wood frame with carved scrolling foliate design and traces of aqua paint. The painting is pencil-signed and dated to the verso.
