Signed Handbuilt Stoneware Platter with Relief Decoration

Item Details

A signed, handbuilt stoneware platter with relief decoration. The piece has straight sides which form a square rim. The sides are slightly raised to create a depression in the center. Two of the corners have been embellished with a lizard and a seashell, both modeled by hand. Rectangles have been marked in the center and infilled with colorful glaze. The piece is signed on the underside ‘Maggie (illegible)’.
