A landscape painting on canvas board marked ‘Brook Scene 1930’ to its verso by Alfred E.R. Van De Velde (1889-1985). The painting features a palette of green and yellow and depicts a winding stream lined by trees, a dark mass of shrubbery toward its right edge. This piece is signed ‘A.E.R. Van De Velde’ to its lower right and includes a label bearing the same name to its verso. It is mounted in a gold tone frame that is wired for hanging.

- severe discoloration to image; heavy wear to frame and verso; staining to verso of canvas board.
