An early 19th Century Morbier Comtoise clock case. The case is oak with other hardwoods and veneer with a walnut finish and wood painting that resemble inlaid wood. The case features a molded bonnet with a hinged glass front door and glass side panels. Other features of the case include a curved, pendulum-shaped body with etched decorative designs that sits on a square podium with black trim and the case stands on tapered wood block feet with a decorative cut out skirt.
