Vintage Hand knotted Persian Garden Tabriz Wool Area Rug
Item Details
A vintage hand-knotted Persian garden Tabriz area rug. This large wool rug begins with a floral medallion worked in ecru, blue, red, gold, ivory and brown. The ivory field is filled with endless baroque style rosettes joined by complimenting layered spandrels. Framing the rug are carnation meander guard borders and a main border boasting palmettes in a Shah Abbasi pattern. Selvedges are overcast, the rug finishing with short ivory warp fringe at either end. Labeled with a tag to the verso indicating country of origin.
