Item Details
A vintage hand-knotted Persian Malayer wool long rug. This rug is rendered in an abrashed palette of terracotta, wheat, ivory, sapphire, sky blue, and sepia. The terracotta colored field begins with a stepped diamond medallion, and features an all-over herati pattern, along with sapphire grounded spandrels. Framing the field is a chained palmette and boteh patterned main border, and a pair of carnation meander guard borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a short ivory warp fringe to the ends, as well as a label to the underside.
