Unusual Vintage Hand-Knotted Persian Hamadan Wool Accent Rug
Item Details
A vintage hand-knotted Persian Hamadan wool accent rug. This beautiful rug is rendered in a slight abrashed palette of pale yellow, sapphire, rose, sky blue, teal, walnut, fern, and wheat. The pale yellow hued field begins with a central medallion flanked by gorgeous peacock motifs in alternating views. It also features large palmettes, and other floral motifs populating the field. Framing the field is a leaf and blossom main border, along with sawtooth guards. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a cotton kilim skirt with warp fringe to the ends. It is labeled with a paper, and a plastic tag, ‘Genuine Handwoven Oriental Rug’.
