A hand-knotted Kazak wool area rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of cranberry, mocha, ivory, emerald, clementine, slate, and scarlet. The field features a pole of two cranberry colored stepped hexagonal medallions each infilled with a cruciform motif. The field also features mocha colored panels each infilled with diamond, star, and floral motifs. Framing the field is a main eight pointed star border, along with a rectilinear patterned, and a laleh abbasi patterned border. Finishing this rug are double overcast selvedges and a short wool warp fringe to the ends. It is labeled ‘Genuine Handwoven Oriental Rug’.
