A hand-knotted Persian Karaja area rug . This wool rug is hand-knotted in a palette of crimson, sage, slate blue, ocher, navy, white, mauve, sky blue, and tan. The field is patterned with three alternating octagonal curled hook and cruciform shaped medallions. It is framed with linked dot, triangle meander and almond blossom borders . Finished with overcast selvedges and short fringe to either end. Marked to verso.
