Hand-Knotted Persian Hamadan Wool Area Rug
Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Hamadan area rug. This wool rug features an all-over lattice pattern joined together by quatrefoil flowers. It is rendered in an abrash palette of cocoa, camel, rose, indigo and chocolate brown. A sawtooth border frames the field along with a main border containing stylized figures including animals and palmettes. Selvedges are overcast, the rug finishing with short ivory fringe at either end. Labeled with a tag to the verso indicating country of origin.
