A semi-antique handwoven Caucasian wool area rug. This rug is rendered in a heavily abrashed palette of indigo, salmon, sage, ivory, pale yellow, azure, and rose. The indigo hued field features a large geometrically shaped palmettes housed in medallions, and accompanied by serrated leaves and rosettes, as well as sage grounded spandrels each infilled with a rosette. Framing the field is a main serabend border, and a pair of carnation meander guard borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and wool warp fringe to the ends. Unlabeled.
