Chinese Porcelain Serving Plate
Item Details
An early Republic Era Chinese export serving plate. This footed form has an oblong bowl with a quatrefoil shape, decorated with polychrome enamels on a white ground. It shows a a phoenix perched among blooming peonies to the center with a border of flowers. The underside is marked with the suggestion of a seal and it dates to 1912-49.
