A 19th-century French Morbier pendulum wall clock. This artistically rendered clock features a handmade and decorative brass and metal case and pendulum with a gold-tone finish and an embossed harvest vignette on the bonnet. The vignette features dancing figures in relief, with a backdrop of wheat while musicians play. The clock features roses and flowers in relief on the crest and a brass bezel surrounding a white enamel face with black Roman numerals and two brass key arbors. Other features of the clock include an embossed metal case with side doors displaying brass gears and an ornate pendulum with a handcrafted and hand-painted, embossed decorative and floral design. The pendulum has intricate details in rich colors with a hook for hanging. The clock has an eight-day weight-driven movement, chimes and a hook for hanging on the verso and is labeled with the maker and the town it was made in: ‘Guy’ and ‘a Ste Joy’ on the face.
