Vintage H.A.C. German "Salesman's Sample" Clock

A vintage H.A.C. salesman’s sample clock. This clock was made in Wurttemberg, Germany by Hamburg Amerikanische Uhrenfabrik, mainly for export to the American market. It is a small scale version of a tall case clock and may be considered a salesman’s sample. The oak case features chamfered corners, decorative molding at the cornice, and beading details. A brass bezel surrounds a metal face with faded Arabic numerals and hands. There is a single key arbor. The works are visible through a glass door on the front and are accessible by means of a door on the back. There is a plaque marked ‘H.A.C/Make/Made in Wurttemberg’ with crossed arrows on the top of the case.
