Item Details

A Georgian style flame mahogany writing desk circa 1900-1920. The piece comprises a veneered top with banded inlay side borders and string inlays over three drawers including flame mahogany veneers, inlaid string borders and raised trim. The scalloped apron features sunburst inlaid veneers. It stands on cabriole legs with snake head feet. No discernible maker’s mark.

- cracks in wood at top and sides; loose apron; chips to veneer at drawer edges; one pull missing bail; nicks, scratches and marks throughout.
