Item Details
An antique oil painting on canvas titled Out Pets, attributed to listed British artist William Bromley (fl. 1835-1888). This interior image depicts a young boy and girl playing with a litter of kittens in a rustic home. A woman is visible cooking in the next room. The unsigned work is presented in a gold tone wood and gesso frame with arabesque detail. A hanging wire is mounted to the verso.
Condition
- in painting and over painting throughout, as seen under black light; cracks to gesso moulding; surface wear to frame consistent with age and use.
