Antique 3/4 Size Poplar Converted Rope Bed
Item Details
A mid-19th century poplar 3/4 size converted rope bed. The headboard comprises a straight crest rail with scroll-like applique mounted on a carved-edge panel attached to thick, turned posts. Evidence of rope stringing holes still present. A low footboard and side rails having angle-iron support braces, are included. The bed frame requires a custom three quarter width size mattress (between twin and full), which can be special ordered through mattress retailers. Slats are not included.
