Antique American Classical Mahogany Rocker

Item Details

An antique American Classical mahogany rocker. This rocker features a curved crest rail with carved floral and acanthus leaf detail over an upholstered scoop back panel. The chair features padded armrests and acanthus leaf carved, scroll handholds. The rocker includes an upholstered cushion seat over thin apron sides rising on splayed legs and terminating on rockers. The chair is upholstered in a red fabric. There are no visible maker’s marks.

Condition

- separation of arms at joins; one arm is cracked; upholstery is worn; nicks, scratches, and scuffs throughout.
