This impressionist style painting depicts an aristocratic family in circa 19th century clothing posed on a sloped stairwell, waiting to board a rowboat docked on a reflective body of water. The unsigned painting is presented in a gold tone gessoed wooden frame featuring a linen liner with hanging wire to the verso.

- foreign splatter to right side of painting; wear to edges and corners of frame; repairs to ornamentation of frame throughout.
