Antique Edwardian Style Woven Wicker and Bamboo Chair
Item Details
A vintage, circa late 19th or early 20th century Edwardian style chair. The ornate chair frame is embellished throughout with intricately woven wicker, rattan and bamboo. It has a straight crest rail and basket-weave patterned woven back embellished with a woven wicker fern motif, and the side supports have turned, woven wicker finials. The caned seat features a basket-weave pattern, and the chair rests on straight legs wrapped with bamboo or wicker, and they are embellished with curled rattan brackets. The chair has a bamboo-wrapped X stretcher, and the legs are capped with metal feet. No maker’s mark.
