A circa 1980s watercolor painting on paper by Dorris Montgomery. The piece depicts a small grove of birches adorned with bright autumn leaves in overlapping hues of yellow, orange, red and brown, set against a backdrop of green fields and evergreen trees. The work is signed by hand to the lower right. It is matted in tan and presented under glass in an aluminum frame fitted with hanging wire to the verso.

Condition

- to fair; minor toning and discoloration to paper and matting; slight bleeding to colors near lower edge of composition; scuffing, markings and edge wear to frame.
