Porcelain and Ceramic Polar Bear Figurines
Item Details
A pair of polar bear figurines in porcelain and ceramic. The porcelain figure depicts two polar bears, one standing, the other seated in an affectionate pose, nuzzling up to the neck of the standing bear. The piece is in gloss off white and russet glazes with graduated shading to the off white glaze. The figurine is signed to the base with ‘Italy’ and ‘S.A.C.’ with production numbers. The second figurine depicts a white polar bear standing over a well of water, on a stacked gray stone wall, with the bear looking down into the water. The piece has an embossed mark to the verso.
