Antique Chinese Export Canton Porcelain
Item Details
A thirty-two piece collection antique of hand painted blue and white Chinese porcelain. The pieces were produced in the mid to late 1800’s with underglaze painted temples, bridges and flora in a style that appealed to north American and European customers. There are four dinner plates, three luncheon sized plates as well eight that would comparable to the modern salad plate as well as thirteen bread plates. Accompanying the twenty eight plates is a bowl and two meat dishes, one having an octagonal form. The pieces have no discernible maker’s marks as was customary for the wares at this period.
Condition
- some examples have cracks, chips and peppering.
