Hand-Knotted Persian Sino-Kerman Wool Carpet Runner
Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Sino-Kerman carpet runner. This wool rug begins with three cruciform and floral medallions to the center field rendered in light blue, brick, rose and tawny over an ivory field. The remaining field contains bouquets, sprays of flowers and winding vines along the verge. Framing the field are three borders, including a primary border of diamond and cruciform pendants grounded in powder blue. Selvedges are overcast, the rug finishing at each end with a kilim skirt and long knotted ivory cotton warp fringe at either end. It is unlabeled.
