A hand-knotted Persian Seraband Wool Carpet Runner
Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Seranband carpet runner. This wool rug features six diamond shaped geometric floral pendants to the center field along with partial pendants at the verge, each having serrated edges and arrow heads at each end. Framing the field are floral repeats and boteh guard borders and a main complex compound border in a Seraband design. It is worked in Ivory, azure, burnt orange, red, aqua, maroon and fern. Selvedges are overcast, the rug finishing with long knotted ivory cotton fringe at either end. It is unlabeled.
