Antique Roman Terracotta Lamp
Item Details
An antique Roman terracotta lamp. This lamp has a single wick hole, a single pouring hole and a pointed handle, with a ridged design around the shoulder and a curved design on the discus and nozzle. The lamp is presented with a certificate dated 1964 from antique dealer Sam Darmant, authorized by the Israeli Antiquities Department, which states that ‘the Archaeological Roman Lamp found in Jerusalem is authentic and is about 2000 years old’.

- significant surface wear, chipping and discoloration consistent with age.
