Item Details
A pair of watercolor paintings on paper appearing to be made by the same hand, one signed and dated ‘Mo Howard ’38.’ These pieces are both captured with vibrant colors and depict renderings of shady trees and tall buildings, one also depicting a statue of what appears to be a monk before a pair of double doors. One of the two features an unfinished study of a marble figure carving, while the other is signed by the artist to its lower right. Both are mounted under paper mats and are presented unframed.
Condition
- fair; tape to verso of each painting; discoloration and marks throughout mats; significant tearing and wear to mats.
