A mixed media paper collage titled Purple Dusk by artist Lawrence Lerfald (born 1938). This abstract work depicts an arrangement of pieces of decorative paper with hand-torn edges and textured surfaces in a palette of teal, sea green, navy, and light blue on a white ground. The collaged paper forms a landscape, and the paper has been painted with oil paint and a textured, granular medium. It is signed to the lower right and has the title inscribed to the verso. The work is presented with a backing mat and plastic shrink-wrap covering.
