Fossil "Knightia" Specimens

Item Details

A pair of fossil Knightia fish specimens. This pair of specimens of the Eocene fish genus Knightia, an extinct freshwater fish related to herrings, each displays dorsal, pelvic and caudal fins, eye location with some bones and scales. The fossils are preserved in a buff colored fine grained lake sediment. No collection locality information is provided for these specimens.
