1840s Ridgway Porcelain Tableware
Item Details
An 1840s Ridgway porcelain tableware set. This modified rococo pattern features a variety of hand painted blooms to the well, a salmon band, scalloped cobalt accents, and copious gilt trim. This collection includes five dinner plates, a handled platter, gravy boat and saucer, and tureen. The handles boast a molded foliate design with gilt swirls. The tureen is further decorated with a molded cobalt base and hand painted blooms to the lid and inner well. The pieces bear a blue underglaze stamp: ‘3/4362’, indicating production by Ridgway c. 1840s.
