A vintage handwoven Portuguese Arraiolos palace-sized rug. This hand-stitched wool rug features a complex vase design in a palette of cornsilk, olive, powder blue, camel, rose and azure. The design consists of vase forms and arabesqued vines, flowers and foliage over a cornsilk field. Framing the field is a border featuring scrolling vines in rose amid floral and foliate motifs. Edges on all sides finish with looped fringe. The rug is unlabeled.
