Chinese Lacquered Boxes

Item Details

A pair of vintage Chinese lacquered boxes. Both wood boxes have black lacquered finishes. One box features a garden scene with pagoda and figural and foliate images to the lid top The box is marked to the underside ‘Shen Shao An Lang Kee, Foo Chow, China’. A floral and bird design on a red ground is featured on the lid of the second box and the box is unmarked.

Condition

- both boxes have chipping to edges of underside, some finish loss.
