19th Century Gorham Sterling Silver "Eglantine" Lidded Sugar Bowl

A 19th century sterling silver sugar bowl by Gorham, circa 1885. This sterling silver piece displays Gorham’s Eglantine pattern and features a pumpkin-like finial on its lid as well as floral designs ringing the lid and upper half of the bowl. The bowl also has two handles, and it is engraved underneath ‘E. Boyd, June 10th 1885’ and stamped by the maker with hallmarks and ‘Sterling 1790 P’. The total approximate weight is 16.400 ozt.
