A Chinese watercolor and ink painting on paper of a calligrapher on a hanging scroll. This piece depicts a standing woman painting at a table beside a vase with peacock feathers. It is signed and inscribed with a red seal to the left edge. The painting is framed by maroon silk gauze borders with a wooden dowel and a string for hanging to the upper edge.

Condition

- minor discoloration to the verso; wear to edges; scuffs to wood finials; wrinkles to ground.
