A Chinese gouache and ink wash painting on paper mounted to a hanging scroll. The piece depicts a waterfall running through a dramatic mountain landscape scene, rendered in hues of brown, green, orange, blue, yellow and grey. It is inscribed to the upper right with black ink and is marked with a red seal. This work is mounted as a hanging scroll on paper embellished with silk gauze. It is weighted with a dowel and wooden knobs to the lower section and hangs with a string affixed to the upper section.

Condition

- creasing and wrinkling to ground; water damage near upper rod; fraying string; foxing and toning present, with small stains, markings and discoloration throughout; pulls and snags to silk gauze; scuffs to wood finials; item is presented as an unframed rolled scroll.
