Fireside Log Bin with Marbleized Basket
Item Details
A vintage fireside log bin with a contemporary marbleized basket. The wooden, black-painted log bin features slightly-tapered side panels interrupted by fluted stiles with ball finials. It rises on bulbous feet and the underside is marked ‘I39KIW / OFI8’. Also included is a metal basket with a hand-painted, faux-marble finish. It has tapered side panels with arched crests, two of which are fitted with lion’s mask, ring handles. It rises on ball feet. There are no maker’s marks.
Condition
- log bin with scattered scratches and marks; some small chips to wood frame, mostly along bottom edge of side panels and to feet; some wear to paint with flaking and losses; marbleized basket with a few small/minor paint losses; paint is later.
