A Chinese painting rendered with ink and gouache on hanging scroll. This piece depicts a group of yellow-beaked birds clustered together under the shadow of a leaf-covered tree stump. There is a signature seal and block of calligraphic text toward the upper left of the painting, which is mounted to a silk gauze backing with a rod to one end and a length of string to the top for hanging and tying.
